Pig Tales
Alberta Pork, in partnership with Manitoba Pork and Sask Pork, has developed Pig Tales — a Grades 3-6 activity booklet that introduces students to modern hog production.
The resource walks students through each stage of pig care, highlights biosecurity and animal welfare practices, and showcases the role of technology, nutrition, and trained transportation in our sector. The booklet includes interactive learning activities designed to support curriculum outcomes while reinforcing the importance of responsible pig farming.
If you know an educator who may be interested, please share this opportunity and help us continue strengthening agriculture literacy across the province. •
