Sask Pork Award Winner
Ken Engele, Manager of Knowledge Transfer (KT) at Prairie Swine Centre Inc. (PSC), recently received the Sask Pork Distinguished Service Award, presented during the Saskatchewan Pork Industry Symposium on November 4th, 2025. Ken’s hashtag#extension efforts have provided a bridge between research and practice for over 20+ years in the hashtag#swineindustry, creating resources such as the PSC Centred on Swine newsletter, Annual Research Reports, factsheets, maintaining the PSC website, and organizing the PSC Spring Producer Meetings.

Ken recognizes the value of clear, concise information that can be readily implemented on farm and he brings this perspective to everything he creates to ensure Prairie Swine Centre is serving the hashtag#swine industry to the best of our abilities. Ken has had great success in funding the growth of the PSC KT Program, expanding the Knowledge Transfer team by 2 people in recent years!
